Roadshow Dec. 18, 2013

RRAS Archeology Road Show is Coming!!!
Does Cousin Clarence collect cobweb covered carvings? Is Uncle Fred infatuated with French firearms? Do you have a storage space stockpiled with strange stones? It’s time to quit hoarding and start sharing! It’s time for the Archeology Road Show!

The annual Rock River Archeology Road show is a special program held each year in December that features members and guests and their favorite artifacts from the attic! Remember that an artifact is any object that has been made or modified by humans, so it can include just about any cool thing you may have! Each person in attendance is welcome to bring in one or two artifacts to share with everyone, one at a time, or just come to listen and enjoy. We will have a special guest "artifact expert" who can help to identify some of our items. Audience members are also experts in everything from antique weapons to farm tools to pottery. Our event is not for appraisals, but all about learning and sharing. You never know what strange artifacts and mysterious items we may encounter, and what interesting things we will learn about them! Mark 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18th on your calendar and dig out those treasured tools and pick through those dainty dishes!

The Road Show will be held at the Horicon Marsh Education Center on Highway 28 between Horicon and Mayville. The meeting is free and open to the public. Please park and enter at the lower level auditorium entrance. Grab an artifact and a friend and we’ll see you at the show!

  1. The personal items are always important to be stored in the first place. So, if you’ve rented a storage space or thought about it, the time is right now for you to consider insurance options since some renting facilities will not cover your stuff.
